Vishu festival -Thiruvangad Sree Ramaswamy Temple :
The Thiruvangad Sree Rama Swamy temple located at Thalassery and Kannur is said to be the oldest among the four temples dedicated to Lord Sri Rama in the State. It celebrates the annual festival on the Vishu day, the first day of the month of Medom (April- May) of the Malayalam calendar. The main feature of the festival is pageantries, processions, fire works and traditional temple orchestras like Panchavadyam.
Akkare Kottiyoor Temple Festival :
Kottiyoor, the famous Siva temple located at Kannur celebrate a 21 day festival during May-June. Some temple ritual is the main feature of the temple.
