Thali Temple

Thali Temple :
Thali temple, an emblem of Kerala style architecture is located at the major city center called Mananchira. It is made from wood and laterite in the 14th century. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and it is the most popular temple in the city. Its annual festival Revathi Pattathanam is known worldwide and it attracts Vedic scholars from all over the country.

Kappad Beach

Kappad Beach :
Kappad beach has a historical significance as it is the beach in where the Portuguese navigator discovering sea routes to India landed in 1498. Since his expedition India became a colony for the European colonizers. A small monument located here tells the beginning of Indo-European trade link. Pazhassirajah Museum :
